September 1, 2004 -- The distaste for baldness is so ingrained in human nature that men throughout history have frantically sought remedies. For a long time, the best that could be done was just to disguise it. The primitive hair plug transplant was greeted as a welcome improvement over the desperation of “comb over” hair styling.
